What You Need To Know About Framing When Prepping For A Hot Mop Shower Pan

In this video, we take a look at the framing of your new shower in preparation for your shower pan. Learn what common mistakes to look for before having the hot mop shower pan company begin hot mopping.

Once the initial shower framing is installed around your plumbing, make sure to inspect all the main supports and walls of the framing so that the backing and blocking is installed correctly making sure that the height of the backing is sufficient. Shower pans need a solid surface to adhere to when applied. Pay special attention to areas where there are pipes, vents, or other obstructions that are in the walls. For obstructions in the wall such as these that can’t be covered with backing, make sure to use sheet metal to screw into the wall to prevent rip or tears in your shower pan.

Other problems such as searching for the proper curb installation are also covered in this video.
